Designer: Nicola Slaney
Deep in the heart of England's Lake District is an Arts and Crafts house set on a sloping hillside overlooking Windermere. Completed in 1900, Blackwell is the largest example of the work of architect, Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, and the only one open to the public.
Blackwell is a treasure trove of Arts and Crafts designs with fine examples of stained glass, decorative oak panelling and intricate plaster work - designs inspired by Lakelandbirds, wild flowers and trees. The wealth of design detail to be found at this unique house inspired designer, Nicola Slaney, to create her blackwell collection.
